Dear Members,

At FBC, our programming is what sets us apart.  If you’ve been attending our events, you know what I mean.  Please help me thank all the committee and board members for their commitment to making the Family Business Center what it is today.

We are a tightly-run, volunteer-driven organization and that means it takes the dedication of our volunteers to drive programming and membership. If you would like to serve on a committee, please let me know and I’ll get you connected.

I’m excited about what 2020 has in store! We are making slight shifts in our calendar so that we can accommodate the Generations Conference moving to April. This has opened up space for a new concept: Family Tours.  Our first outing will take us to Chico in January. If you haven’t yet been to Lundberg Family Farms or Sierra Nevada Brewing, you’ll want to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn more about their family businesses while also networking with other members. I hope you can join us!

Our membership has been growing!! We are over 100 members strong and adding new members to our group all the time. This year we brought on board 16 new members and most of them joined because they attended the Generations Conference. Others joined because of member referrals…our highest compliment!

Please keep spreading the word about our family business programs and events. The more people we have attending events, the richer the dialogue and more we can learn from each other. If you know of other family businesses that should be members, please let me know.

Have a wonderful holiday season.

Cheers,

Stella Premo – Executive Director
