PROVIDING PROACTIVE MEASURES TO HELP FAMILY BUSINESSES NAVIGATE COVID-19

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) includes the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act that went into effect on April 1, 2020.  Private sector employers are now required to comply with the new laws if they have fewer than 500 employees. Robert L. Rediger of Rediger Labor Law will present an overview of the FFCRA and provide an electronic handout that includes useful documents and links to various governmental agencies’ websites that provide guidance to employers.
