The Federal Government is providing emergency assistance to businesses affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic through the CARES Act. Specifically, the Paycheck Protection Program authorizes up to $349 billion in partially forgivable loans to small businesses to maintain their existing workforce and help pay other expenses like rent, mortgage interest, and utilities during the COVID-19 crisis.
