Performance Management for FAMILY Business
Join the NextGen Affinity group as we dive deep into the controversial subject and often dreaded task of evaluating family members.
In most organizations people often have two jobs. The first is usually described in a job description, title, and outlines role and responsibilities. The second, less formal but very real, is the job of managing and protecting one’s status, reputation, and safety. This second job, though informal, can drive behaviors and often suppresses the opportunity for a company to grow.
If you are trying to build a thriving culture, you must think about how to manage this less formal, yet powerful dynamic. This is even more profound and important in a family business where past family dynamics are part of current interpersonal and even organizational dynamics.
In this session we will ask you to ponder the dynamics of your organization and provide you with a template for how to address any unwanted dynamics – those that are not essential to the vitality of the business. This interactive workshop is facilitated by skilled leadership coach Kevin McCarthy.
