What steps can you take to ensure that your family business will continue to thrive when you are no longer there?
Find out what you can do now to start the process toward transitioning your family business to the next generation.
The Family Business Center member BFBA, shares a story that takes a typical family business succession to the extreme. Instead of having one family leader transitioning, they have virtually all of their initial partners preparing to retire in the coming years. BFBA has had to groom an entire group of successors to step into their shoes.
Dave Boyce, BFBA, LLP will articulate how BFBA proactively planned for this major transition:
- How they worked to groom their next generation of high potentials
- How they have successfully orchestrated the hand-off
- Pitfalls and struggles encountered along the way from both perspectives; founder and successor and steps taken to address them
Attendees will engage in a roundtable discussion to hear how other member families are working through similar issues, with attendees sharing best practices of things that have worked well, as well as exploring areas in which member families may be struggling.
